BGR recently released a major new report examining the public subsidies proposed for the Convention Center headquarters hotel and identifying ways to reduce long-term public costs while still allowing the project to move forward. The analysis shows that restructuring the deal could save roughly half a billion dollars in future tax revenue, helping preserve resources for other public priorities with little or no impact on the hotel’s profitability.

To dig into these findings, BGR is hosting a members-only webinar on Wednesday, January 28th at 10am CT with Senior Research Analyst Paul Rioux and President & CEO Rebecca Mowbray. In this 30-minute conversation, they’ll walk through the report’s key findings, explain why the timing matters as the deal moves toward final approval, and respond to questions from members. Briefings like these are one way that BGR keeps members informed about important local decisions.
