The Bureau of Governmental Research (BGR) has launched its search for a Director of Communications and Engagement. We hope this new team member can build our brand, raise our visibility and reach, develop our use of social media, and translate our in-depth research into messages that resonate with both members of the public and elected officials.
Our goals are to expand our audience, deepen our community connections, advance our independent, nonpartisan mission, and translate research into action to improve local government in the greater New Orleans area for the benefit of all. The ideal leader is strategic, creative, media-savvy, and informed about important local civic issues. Weโre officially launching the search with postings on job boards this week. This is a great opportunity to build a professional communications operation from the ground up working side-by-side with our research director and development director to make things happen.
