Voters considered three separate bond propositions totaling $510 million.

NEW ORLEANS — Orleans Parish voters went to the polls on Saturday to decide on three major bond propositions involving affordable housing, infrastructure, and drainage improvements.

Here were the results:

YES ON PROPOSITION 1

Voters have approved Proposition 1, which allows the city to  $45 million in bonds to support new and renovated affordable housing. Housing advocates have argued both for and against the measure, with critics warning that bonds are slower and less reliable than general fund contributions. Supporters, however, say the funding will provide an immediate boost to the Housing Trust Fund, addressing pressing housing needs amid a tight city budget.

YES ON PROPOSITION 2

Voters have approved Proposition 2, which authorizes $415 million in bonds for city infrastructure, including repairs and upgrades to roads, bridges, parks, public safety facilities, and technology systems. The Bureau of Governmental Research had backed the measure, citing the need to catch up on deferred maintenance.

YES ON PROPOSITION 3

Voters approved Proposition 3, which will provide $50 million to improve drainage and stormwater systems, a step aimed at reducing flood risk across the city.
