
New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board faces oversight push as BGR backs accountability changes

NEW ORLEANS — The Bureau of Governmental Research is examining the future of the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board as the city council takes on increased oversight of the agency.
BGR said the new law provides an opportunity to improve oversight, funding, and accountability.
The organization also provided the city with a summary of 15 years of research, backing the new law and stating it creates an opportunity to address long-standing accountability issues.
