BGR Seeks Nominations for 2020 Excellence in Government Awards

January 14, 2020

One of BGR’s most important and exciting programs – the biennial Excellence in Government Awards – returns this year, and nominations are now being accepted through Feb. 14.

The Excellence in Government Awards honor unsung heroes from government and the private sector who find and implement solutions to problems or challenges in state and local government in the metropolitan New Orleans area. Nominations from the public are essential to the success of the program. Anyone can submit nominations for the program, which recognizes public employees and private citizens who have been successful in improving government in the parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles and St. Tammany. Honorees receive cash awards of $500 to $1,000.
