BGR Luncheon Features Dr. Richard Haass

November 17, 2023

Today, the Bureau of Governmental Research (BGR) hosted our 2023 Annual Luncheon, featuring guest speaker Dr. Richard Haass. His presentation, part of BGR’s Janet Howard Speaker Series in Governmental Research, discussed balancing citizen rights and obligations, based on his best-selling book, The Bill of Obligations: The Ten Habits of Good Citizens. Dr. Haass also drew from his extensive background in foreign policy and diplomacy to offer insights on current wars in Ukraine and Gaza and U.S.-China relations, among other topics. Following his talk, Rebecca Mowbray, BGR’s President and CEO, moderated audience questions.
