The Bureau of Governmental Research (BGR) won two awards from the Governmental Research Association (GRA) at its national conference July 16-18, 2017, in Salt Lake City. BGR won the Outstanding Policy Achievement award for the 2013 report Sound the Alarm: New Orleans Firefighter Pension Woes and the Legislative Session and the Most Distinguished Research award for the 2017 report Beneath the Surface: A Primer on Stormwater Fees in New Orleans.
The GRA is the national organization for governmental research professionals, and has presented BGR with over 40 awards throughout its history. These awards have recognized BGR’s distinguished research, effective citizen education, distinguished service, research presentation and policy achievements.
