Report: New Orleans has too many judges

A new report may have some judges saying, “I object!” The Bureau of Governmental Research says New Orleans courts have more judges than they really need.

The 33-page report claims criminal and civil district courts in Orleans Parish each have more than twice the number of judges they need.

It goes on to say that getting rid of half of those judges would save $14 million.
