Give master plan force of law

Give master plan force of law
Monday, August 21, 2006

If citizens want to see their city rebuilt in a responsible manner, I cannot think of anything more important than the adoption of the charter amendment recently produced by the Bureau of Governmental Research.

The charter change would require that New Orleans develop a master plan with the force of law, a plan that the politicians as well as the citizens would be legally required to follow.

If you support economic development that complements the special nature of New Orleans contact the members of the City Council and urge them to approve the BGR charter amendment.
