Attorney Scott Willis was named 2012 chairman of the Bureau of Governmental Research on Tuesday. The bureau, a private, nonpartisan organization whose goals are informing the public and working with elected officials to improve government, announced its new officers at a luncheon Tuesday at the Marriott.
Other officers are J. Kelly Duncan, vice chairman; Mark Mayer, secretary; and Hardy B. Fowler, treasurer.
The speaker at the group’s lunch was Ellis Henican, who grew up in New Orleans and is a Fox News political analyst and co-author of “Home Team” with Sean Payton.
