Online at GiveNOLA.org
GiveNOLA Day is a 24-hour, online giving event organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation to ignite the giving community in Southeast Louisiana. The goal is to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to support the work of local nonprofit organizations. We encourage all those who value BGR to give on May 2nd. You can give at any level, starting at just $10.
BGR preserves its high standards and independence by relying on the support of citizens, companies and foundations that share our belief that the best way to find solutions to public policy problems is through non-partisan, in-depth, objective analysis. Where other organizations may be beholden to the politics or specific concerns of their funders, BGR’s supporters prize our integrity and our skill in identifying the top priorities and best practice solutions for reform.
New this year, donors have the ability to schedule an online donation starting on April 25, 2017. To schedule a donation, a donor needs to create an account on GiveNOLA.org. The donor will receive a confirmation email upon submitting the form. The payment will be processed on May 2, 2017, at which time the donor will receive an email receipt.
Every dollar donated from 12:01 am-11:59 pm on Tuesday, May 2 will be increased with additional “lagniappe” dollars provided by GNOF. Each hour that BGR receives a donation of $10 or more, the organization is eligible for the Rock-Around-the-Clock prize for $1,000 from that hour. Plus, during the hours of 6 am, 2 pm, and 10 pm we could win $3,000 if we have the most unique donors that hour.
Please visit, bookmark and share BGR’s GiveNOLA page. To participate on GiveNOLA Day, go through our GiveNOLA page, not the BGR store. Thank you for spreading the word about this exciting way to support BGR’s work promoting effective, accountable local government.
