BGR SEEKS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Bureau of Governmental Research has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant who will work 20 to 25 hours a week. The administrative assistant will be responsible for all aspects of managing BGR’s office and for providing staff support, including:

Bill payment and processing
Bookkeeping
Tax reporting
Personnel administration
Benefits administration
Coordination of meetings and materials for boards and committees
Physical organization of the office
Establishment of office systems
Requisition and management of supplies and equipment
Updating and managing the database
Interfacing with vendors, contractors and technical support teams
Comparative research as needed on costs and quality of products, equipment and services
Organizing and maintaining the library
General office duties, such as filing, correspondence and handling of mail and mailings
Assisting the President & CEO

QUALIFICATIONS

Initiative
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Ability to excel at details, multitasking and team work
Experience and skill in the use of software programs, such as Microsoft Office, DonorPerfect and Sage 50

COMPENSATION

Pay is commensurate with experience.
