BGR Honors Government Employees

 The BGR Excellence in Government Awards 2003 will be presented on Friday, June 27 to eight of the region’s outstanding public employees at the Wyndham Metairie-New Orleans.  Established in 1994, this annual program makes cash awards of up to $1,000 to government employees who have worked harder, longer and taken risks to improve government’s service to the community.

 This year’s honorees are: 

• Julie Berner, Principal, J.C. Ellis Elementary, Jefferson Parish Public School System
• Sgt. Manuel Curry, Sixth District, New Orleans Police Department
• Rita Foster, Principal, Cuillier Career Center, Jefferson Parish Public School System
• Kelli Gustafson, Director, Cultural & Public Affairs, City of Slidell
• Sal LaRock, Community Education Director, Jefferson Parish Public School System
• Suzanne N. Mague, Fiscal Officer, New Orleans City Council
• Sale of Adjudicated Property Program Staff, Jefferson Parish Attorney's Office:
        Robert S. Hinyub, Jr.          Allison H. Langley        Sue P. Mikulski
        Tiffany E. Peperone            Tom G. Wilkinson
• Evelyn A. Soniat, Principal, G.T. Woods Elementary, Jefferson Parish Public School System
